Lalita despised being bored. It just so happened to be her free period before Care of Magical Creatures. She hated having so much work but she really didn't feel like leaving the sixth floor. It was way too much walking. Divination just ended and she had some weird tea cup reading that said she would encounter 'the devil' today. She had no clue what that meant. If by devil, they meant Snape, then of course the tea cup was right. Potions was her class just after Care of Magical Creatures and the worst one of all. Lalita knew it would only be a matter of time before she had to go downstairs, but she decided to wander around the sixth floor for a bit. There were so many unused classrooms up here and she wondered why. Curiosity then got the best of her, and she decided to go inside one of them. Dust blanketed the desks, window sills, the chalkboard, and plainly everything in the room. It seemed like it was an old Transfigurations classroom; taking into consideration the last remnants of chalk on the bored. Lalita's eyes wondered all over the room and its small size. It had to fit, at most, half of her current Transfiguration class. Probably just half of the students in each individual class she had period. The books looked ancient as well. She turned her heels to go towards one of the desks and picked up one of the lesson books. Lalita lifted the cover and checked the date on the page. "1925...As old as McGonagall." Lalita scoffed as she replaced it down. Dust rose into the are and towards her throat, causing Lalita to hack away, getting the muck out of her system. She then fell backwards onto the floor, completely unaware someone else had came into the room. When her eyes met there's, she knew it could only lead to trouble.

Oh how the day was young! Nick was enjoying himself in an empty transfiguration classroom with a fifth year. He noticed her a while ago, of how she looked at him in every class they had, which was only one. It was starting to drive him mad, but he just couldn’t ignore her anymore. He was thinking of doing something about her little obsession as he walked around the sixth floor when she had walked past him, neither of them knowing. But then she stopped and turned around. The sudden feeling of being watched made Nick to stop walking and to turn around. The girl was blushing and acted as if she wanted to say something to him, but couldn’t find the words. He thought that she just looked like the most adorable little thing he had seen all day so he walked up to her, with that smile he has and took her hand. That was when he dragged her into the room and began to make out. It was nice, but every time he stopped, she seemed to want more. That was perfectly understandable, but Nick looked annoyed and moved himself from in front of her and opened the door. He had these things before, the girls wanted more, more of him, more of a relationship. Nick doesn’t float that boat. She first looked confused, then surprised, and then suddenly it hit her. She looked upset, as if she was ready to hit him and cry at the same time. As a matter of a fact, she did try to hit him, but Nick knew better. His hand shot up and grabbed it before it could touch him and smiled evilly at her.”Go.” At that final word, she glared, tears starting to flow. She grunted as she rammed her foot on his and left in a hurry.
Nicholas sighed heavily, ignoring the pain and took a look in the hall. It was oddly empty, so he figured that the previous class had ended, leaving Care of Magical Creatures. He smiled as he stepped inside once again, shutting the door. The old room was small and smelled strongly of dust. That made a lot of sense especially since it was everywhere . Nick moved his hands toward his shirt, unbuttoning it by three buttons. He hated school uniforms; hence, he refused to wear a tie. His footsteps made a lightly click on the stone flooring as he walked toward a desk. There were some books on it, but not enough to peak his interest, so he kept walking until he reached the teacher’s desk. He smiled and he sat down and lifted his feet on the desk. The slytherin folded his hands over his stomach neatly, imagining himself in power. It was quite amusing.
He was just about to leave when he heard the door open and close. He didn’t dare move as his blue eyes darted after the source. However, he couldn’t stop himself from smiling mischievously as he watched his study buddy, Lala. He watched her with wonder as she picked up a book and made a rather rude comment about McGonagall. Nick held in a laugh as he slowly got up from the chair, thankful that it didn’t squeak, and stayed close to the shadows as Lala didn’t seem to notice him. The smile never left his face as she coughed from the dust all around her. It was only when she feel over did he walk toward her laughing quietly.”That wasn’t a very nice comment you know.” Nicholas held out his hand to her as he reached where she fell. He winked at her in his slytherin charm and laughed again. ” What are you doing here Lala? Knew I was lonely all up here by myself?”

Of all the people to be here in this room at this very second...It had to be him. Roughly in another hour she would need to deal with him again anyway! How she loathed him and liked him all the same time. He knew how to get to her and he wasn't going to waste time about. She rolled her eyes, but reluctantly took his hand and stood up until... RIIIIIIP!! Lalita couldn't help but feel so embarrassed. Her eyes then darted to her stockings, where there was now a quite a lengthy tear. her eyes then went towards his, ignoring his first comment and moving towards his second. "Keep telling yourself that darling." She said while faking a sweet and innocent smile. Sometimes she just wished she could slap that smirk right off his face. It seemed to be permanently glued there and it just bugged her. She wouldn't admit how sexy she thought it was. Her hand was still clasped around his and once she snapped out of her trance, she let go of it, blushing insanely. The something occurred to her from early today, in her Divination class. It was predicted that Lalita would encounter, 'the devil' today. Now she completely understood what the tea leaves meant. Nicholas Forester was the devil in a sense. Most likely the worst Slytherin she had come to know. In comparison to her friend Trevor, who was in fact a Slytherin, they were complete opposites. Trevor; kind, caring, and considerate of others. Nick; flirtatious, sneaky, plotting, and out for the kill. Complete opposites for sure. Though Lalita would have to admit, she did somewhat prefer Nicholas's company above Trevor's. It was more fun and carefree, and both could flirt without really feeling guilty. With Trevor, Lalita was aware he wanted more, but he was too brotherly. He was overprotective of her and all Lalita wanted from him was a friendship. As much as she wanted a seriously relationship, she just wanted time to tell and she was expecting something fiery and passionate. Not something safe and predictable. But Nick was trouble and she knew that. He most likely wasn't worth the time of day either, with the exception she needed to spend the day with him studying.

The sun seemed to hit the top window perfectly as it shined through the diamonded glass and onto the floo next to them. It little the room up only subtly, so Nick took no notice of it as he continued to watch Lalita. She was so clumsy sometimes, it was really cute. He was glad, however, when she took his hand to get up. However, when that ripping sound came to his ears, he had to stop himself from falling over and laughing. Instead, still holding her hand, he brought himself behind her and wrapped his arms over her neck and rested his head on her crook of her neck. He closed his eyes and laughed quietly next to her ear.”It must be fate! It’s clearly a sign. And don’t worry, I will.”He was talking about her comment she made, which only made him smile more. In that one second of him being sincere, He quickly took his arms away and stepped back laughing. He didn’t believe in fate or destiny by that matter. People did what they wanted and when they did. It was always your choice. He stuffed his hands back into his pocket as he started to walk around Lalita like a lion circling its prey. He did seem to have hungry glowing in his crystal eyes and the smirk didn’t help. ”So what is my stud-bud doing up here all by herself? Looking for trouble, I presume?” Nick’s voice was the right velvety sound that seemed to please the ear. He smiled ever so lightly, starring deeply into her eyes as he grabbed her hand to pull her close. He might as well have some fun if they are alone. He didn’t pull her too close because he wanted to put his hands over her shoulders comfortable, so there was a good 4-5 inches between them. Nick winked at her as he placed a kiss on her forehead.”You’re much too cute, you know that?” He laughed lightly as he stared at her.

How many times was Lalita going to roll her eyes whilst being around Nick? At least a dozen times over. The tone in his voice made her a bit...well made her feel a bit weird. Did he mean it or not? Sounded convincing enough but who knew for sure. The feeling of his breathe tickling her ear made her feel nervous. Her heart was pounding against her ribcage and she knew her face was feeling hot which was a sure sign she was blushing once more. She knew he was full of it when he said it was fate though. He despised Divination as she came to find out one day when they were idly talking after their session. That was another difference between them. Lalita believed in fate to an extent. Her theory was that there was a set path you were put on but their were many side roads to take so you could also have some control in shaping your destiny. She chuckled at his next comment. "Since when do you know me for the type of girl to look for trouble?" Lalita's tone was one that held flirtation as she kept her rich brown eyes locked on his as he circled around her. Like she previously thought, he was always out for the chase. A girl that put more of a struggle was more fun to him. However it did depend on his mood. Occasionally he wanted something easy but mostly the fight won out. The only thing he detested was a steady relationship. "I was merely here out of my own boredom and curiosity." She added to reinforce the fact that she wasn't here in spite of him. His next move caught her off guard. With Nick only a few inches away from him, a kiss bestowed on her forehead, and his next comment, nothing seemed to make sense. And to top it all off, he thought she was cute? Oh that was classic. If anything, it was an insult...right? The crimson curse haunted her olive complexion again as she looked up at his bright blue eyes. Don't even fall for it Lalita. You know better than that. She thought to herself. But there was no harm in flirting back was there? No. She couldn't set herself up for that. Lalita had to stand her ground. "Oh so whipping out the charm are you? You can't fool me that easily." She now acted as if she could care less even though she was a bit unsure of how to act now. Why did he have to be so complicated?

The class was bound to start in a few minutes, probably ten or so, but that barely crossed Nick’s mind as he looked at Lalita with a matter of wonder. He figured that some of the girls knew who he was and how he was tried to play as if they weren’t interested in him. If only they knew that that stimulated him more. There wasn’t anything better than the chase. However, he figured that Lala already knew that, and was probably trying to play his game.”Oh, you’re clever.” He obviously said this sarcastically, but somehow, it seemed sincere. Of course, he meant it both ways and it was aimed at his thoughts but it also fitted well from her comment about her coming here out of boredom. He smiled at her, but it wasn’t a smirk, or a devilish smile. Just a regular, polite smile toward her blushing. But those never last long, and they were soon replaced by rolling his eyes at her comment, and he took his arms away from resting on her shoulders to back at his sides as he took a few steps back, holding his hands behind his back as he started to walk around the classroom, eyeing the desks for no particular reason.”Of course I can’t. You’re much too witty for me aren’t you?” His tone was heavily sarcastic, not even bothering to look up as he voice, not accompanied by mischievous for once, rang through the room. Nick was fighting himself, wondering if should go farther. He felt like what she said was a challenge, even though it probably wasn’t. He mumbled the words screw it under his breath and turned to look at the Hufflepuff. ”Can I tell you a secret Lala? Promise that you won’t tell anyone, K?” The regular looks of roguish behavior shown brightly on his face. Nick glanced a look at the desk next to him, one on the top left of the classroom and dusted it off. He sat on it after pushing an old book off to the floor with a loud bang. Nicholas didn’t flinch as he returned his daring gaze to Lala.

"Just that much shy of being placed in Ravenclaw." She winked at him as she took her school bag and placed it on the desk closest to her. She had no clue why she was making herself so comfortable when she had another class to go to. Maybe she just needed the rest of the day off to spend time to figure him out. Despite that, her voice was teasing as she stated a fact at the same time. She was that close to being placed in Ravenclaw but the Sorting Hat thought that she was much too ambitious and curious for her own good. That turned it around and placed her in Hufflepuff. Nicholas was definitely being unreadable to her. Sure he was being his usual self but he was also being different at the same time. It wasn't like him to act the way he was right now. At least, it wasn't normal. Then he asked if she could keep a secret. That was something new. However, she found it within herself to nod in understanding to him. "Of course." She said this with an honest smile of reassurance. Even though she probably would've loved to spread his secret around, she was better than that. Now she felt as though she shouldn't have agreed. This was a set up. It had to have been and everything was screaming it right in front of her face. Why was she compromising with him? Lalita's eyes travelled to the clock in the room. Roughly ten minutes before the next class and here she was, getting comfortable in this empty and unused classroom with a womanizing snake. Even had she tried to make it to the Care of Magical Creatures classroom, she would be late since she was all the way on the sixth floor and that was all the way down. But now she was wrapped up in this; she desperately wanted to know what he's going to tell her. She flinched when she heard the book slam against the wooden planks. Lalita then mimicked his motions and walked to a desk opposing his, leaving her stuff where she left it, dusted it off, and sat on top of it. She crossed her ankles as she stared at him intently, as if waiting for him to make a move. Well, to speak again although he would surely take this opportunity along with her and use it to his advantage.

The slytherin was the one to do anything to get what he wants, and usually that wasn’t much but today, it seemed like an awfully good adventure if he were to find the treasure at the end of the road. Nick looked down at the floor, and then back up to see that Lalita had walked closer to him, and started to fix herself a seat across from him. He cleverly wore a mask of sincerity and a tad bit of caution. It felt odd with those feelings combined on his face, but he made it work, just like everything he did. He began to fidget his hands in his lap, as if struggling to confess, eyes glancing down and up. And then at last, with a sigh, got up and went to Lalita. He brought his lips dangerously close to her ear and whispered, ”There is this Hufflepuff that I can’t stop thinking about. And all I really want to do is-“ Nick interrupted himself as he quickly brought his face in front of her and kissed her lightly. Of course those words were a lie, and he didn’t only want to kiss her, there were other things of course but he didn’t want to think about that right now. Nick’s hands placed themselves softly on her cheeks, but then he brought it to an end, not wanting to over do it, and pulled away from her. He smiled and winked at her before he turned around and stood next to her, leaning on a dusty desk.”Tell me something Lalita. What are you thinking right now?” His tone was completely curious as he made conversation, as if he hadn’t kissed her. However, when he thought of Lala, he couldn’t think of himself going further than kissing her because she just seemed so innocent. His smile turned evil for a split second, as he thought that was the best prize of all.

Oh. My. God. It had to be a trick, the whole thing. Nothing else could explain his odd behavior. Nick was acting as though he were so nervous around her. No, she knew better. He was always so confident and ready to push all her buttons. And then, now when they were finally entirely along and not in sight of anyone, he's saying that he likes her. No but that wasn't the end of it. The feeling of his lips pressed against her own was amazing. Lalita couldn't deny, she was enjoying this very much. Then all too soon he pulled away, giving her that infamous wink that would make any girl swoon over the sight of him. With her heart still pounding, she took in a deep breathe as he repositioned himself next to her. Of all the things for him to ask, what was she thinking of was the best he came up with? "I-I...I don't know," She began in a shaky voice. So much for her trying to remain solid and sure of herself. Nicholas Forester was certainly a character. He was so indecisive. At times they could completely detest each other and others, they were good friends. Now he was saying he liked her as more than a friend. It had to be a set up, because nothing else seemed rational. Lalita knew better than to just believe it would be that easy. There was no way that he would all of a sudden admit to liking her and such. She inhaled sharply and then turned to look at him with uncertainty taking over her eyes. "What should I be thinking?" Then she paused once more. "I think a better question is what are you thinking?" Lalita was about to extend on that and ask, rather what was he plotting because that seemed to be the only sensible explanation. There was no way he liked her. She was just so...plain and not like the type of girls he usually went after. Nothing seemed to pass by her mind and make sense anymore. Earlier today, she would have been thinking so clearly without any doubts. What if they hadn't met up right here and now? Things would certainly be different and Lalita highly doubted that he would have acted this way.

Lalita’s reaction made it all worth it. Nicholas couldn’t help but continue to smile at her as she seemed to be so, well innocent. It was like finding one lonely flower in an empty field; pure and innocent. He looked at her admirable, going into a daze as he looked her over. He then snapped himself back to reality as he stood up from leaning on the desk. He had a quizzical look on his face as he thought about what he was thinking about. He slowly began to pace in front of her, ever so slightly. ”Well, I was thinking about what you would be thinking of, but I’m pretty sure that a Hufflepuff like you wouldn’t accept that answer so, let me think here.” Nick smiled at her before sitting on the original desk that was already dusted off. He looked at the ceiling and then back at her with a genteel smile.”I guess I’m thinking about what you think of me? But let me guess first.”The smile was gone with a smirk as ever sentence, Nick got off the desk and walked closer to Lala once again.”Am I the guy to trust?” Step. ”Am I the guy that will care?” Step. ”Am I the guy you’re suppose to like?” As he took another step, Nick held out his arm for her to take, a smile never far from his face. These were questions that came to him a lot from girls, so he decided to try it. In truth, he was none of those thing. You shouldn’t trust him. You shouldn’t believe that he would care. You shouldn’t like him, but Nick is the kind of guy to make you forget it. He’s a snake with blue eyes, in a sense.
